The Sharlot Hall Museum sponsors three major events each year, the Folk Arts Fair, Prescott Indian Art Market, and the Folk Music Festival. In addition, the Museum offers lectures, plays by the Blue Rose Theater, the Frontier Christmas celebration, the Annual Western History Symposium, and other special events.

Arizona History Adventure

Join us for The Arizona History Adventure. Enjoy stepping back in time with living history characters in the John C. Fremont House and the Territorial Governor's Mansion. Living History

Come visit with living history interpreters as they relive Arizona's military past. Enjoy "School of the Soldier", a time of training for those new to living history soldiering. The Fort Whipple Museum is located in Building 11 on the Veteran's Administration Hospital campus off of Arizona Highway 89. After entering the Hospital campus, bear left at the first stop sign. Continue a short distance to the first T intersection and turn left. The Museum is the yellow house with green trim. Ancient Discoveries in the Petrified Forest

The early and mid-1980's was a boom time at Petrified Forest National Park. Archaeologists and paleontologists roamed the
hills, prospected and made amazing discoveries. A diverse mix of scientists from the western United States probed the earth's
history, turning back the geological clock to the Triassic Period, 225 million years ago. The scientists made a headline-grabbing
discovery, unearthing the world's earliest datable dinosaur. Jeff Kida, photography editor for Arizona Highways, shares his
personal story of his introduction to this research community and the excitement of that time.
Prescott lectures are held at Sharlot Hall Museum, 415 W. Gurley Street (two blocks west of Courthouse Plaza). Space at the

The Grand Canyon Association (GCA) is pleased to present the Canyon Country Community Lecture Series in Prescott,
Flagstaff, and Glendale. The Prescott lecture series is cosponsored by GCA and Sharlot Hall Museum.

Water Lecture Series - Lorayne Meltzer discusses the Colorado River

This presentation will address the environmental, social and economic impacts that de-watering the Colorado River has had on the Delta Region in Mexico. Her presentation will address the relationship of the river, over time, with the Gulf of California. Lorayne Meltzer works for Prescott College and is the co-director of the Kino Bay Center.
